Additional Incentive Program for Delegation

The Konstellation Foundation is currently operating 82 validator nodes with various different delegations.

Additionally, funds including network incentives, community rewards, and other protocol allocations will be subject to additional delegation to the Trusted Validators.

These additional delegations will be decided by the most proactive validators that are committed to the safety of the network.

A validator must meet the Participation Criteria to receive an additional delegation from the Konstellation Foundation. The criteria will be monitored on a weekly basis and if any criteria is not met, the amount will be un-delegated and re-applied to the next Trusted Validators that meet the criteria.

The size of the bonus delegation is dynamic, as the Foundation’s Delegation Program attempts to continually rebalance and distribute all tokens within the program to those validators who have earned a delegation. As more validators join the program and earn delegations, the size of the bonus each validator earns will decrease. If a number of validators leave the program or fail to earn a delegation from the Foundation, any tokens previously delegated to them will be redistributed among existing validators who continue to qualify for bonus delegations.

As changes to stake delegations require a transition period on Konstellation, there is often a delay between a validator becoming eligible for a certain level of delegation from the Foundation and those stake tokens becoming active. This delay is often 5-6 epochs, or up to 6 days.

Total amount of delegation distributed to validators joining the program are listed below.
